PROMENADE BEACH :This is one of the famous beach of Pondicherry. This beach is called by many other names like “Rock Beach “, “GANDHI Beach”, “PROMENADE BEACH”. This beach is situated in the heart of the city and being most popular among tourist. It is different experience to sit on the rocks and let the waves drench you with water when they hit against the rocks. You can also see the crabs popping outside from under the rocks. The beach is crowed in the evening. So it’s a nice place for hangout in the evening with family and FRIENDS .

ARULMIGU MANAKULA VINAYAGAR TEMPLE :This temple is one of the famous temple of pondicherry. This temple is absolutely divine, with a pure and religious feeling. The front gate of temple an elephant is there which is the main attraction. Architecture of temple is really nice and eye catching paintings. It is a typical South Indian temple. Best time to go in the evening when a real elephant named ‘LAKSHMI’ bless all visitors.

SRI VARADARAJA PERUMAL TEMPLE :      This is a temple dedicated to Lord VARADARAJA, which fulfills all our wishes. It is one of the good temple to visit in Pondicherry. The temple is very old one with lot of histories behind it. IT is one the richest temple in not only pondicherry but also in South India. The top of the temple is made of gold. The ambiance inside the temple is peaceful and soothing. One must see and pray during the visit to PONDICHERRY.

PARADISE BEACH :If you are in PONDY you should go to Paradise beach. At this beach you can play in the sea. Nice boat ride from boat club and then the beach. The beach is clean and well maintained. You can go for a bath in the ocean. The authorities have demarcated a safe area for bathing. This is a brilliant place for water sports activities. Thoroughly enjoyed the jet high speed motor boat and jet sky. Good place to spend some time there.

CHURCH OF THE SCARED HEART OF JESUS :This church is a real gem to visit. The church is built in Gothic style and is a feast to our eyes and soul too. The red color of the external church makes it contrast to that of the main yellow cathedral down the road. This is more than 100 years old historical church, maintained in the heart of the PONDICHERRY City. So must see if you are there.

BOTANICAL GARDEN :THIS Garden is located South of new bus stand in PONDICHERRY. This garden was founded in 1826 and is another example of French influence in PONDICHERRY. It is originally laid out in a typical French style garden, with gravel lined path, pruned trees and fountains. The garden has also features a musical fountain which has two shows during evenings at the weekends.

PONDICHERRY is also considered an educational hub of Southern India. Having one central University, eight medical colleges, ten engineering colleges, three dental colleges, ten arts and science colleges, two law colleges. PONDICHERRY is also famous for its churches, temples, beaches and statues like MAHATMA GANDHI, THE STATUE OF DUPLEIX AND THE STATUE OF JOAN OF ARC.
